Story
Read Patterson is the co-founder of Hooper Patterson Interiors + Build, which he established alongside his wife, Hooper, with a shared vision for delivering refined, detail-driven construction and renovation throughout Wilmington and North Carolina. With more than 20 years of experience in residential construction and real estate development, Read personally oversees each project to ensure exceptional craftsmanship, disciplined execution, and an uncompromising client experience. Over the course of his career, Read led his own construction firm where he built more than 200 homes across the coastal Carolinas. His background also includes senior leadership roles within Fortune 500 organizations and the successful launch of six entrepreneurial ventures, providing a rare blend of strategic oversight and operational excellence. This depth of experience allows Read to guide complex projects with clarity, precision, and a steadfast commitment to quality.

Our design services cover every aspect of the construction process, from new builds to remodels. By merging Hooper's 22 years of interior design expertise with Read's extensive building experience, coupled with nearly 25 years of marriage, we create a perfect synergy.
